Remembering the first and the longest serving Prime Minister of India, PM Modi on Wednesday paid tributes to Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru on his 56th death anniversary. PM Modi took to Twitter pay his tributes. "Tributes to our first PM, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Ji on his death anniversary," Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote on the microblogging site Twitter.

एक प्रधानमंत्री के तौर पर नेहरू जी की कुछ विफलता भी रही जिसको लेकर उनकी आज भी काफी आलोचना की जाती है. लेकिन सबसे बड़ी बात ये है कि इस देश के लोकतांत्रिक व्यवस्था में आलोचना करने सुनने और उसपर विचार करने की परंपरा स्थापित करने का श्रेय भी उन्हीं को जाता है. इसलिए नेहरू जी की स्वस्थ आलोचना भी उनको दी जाने वाली श्रद्धांजलि ही है.
